Valentine’s Day Movie Review
February 14th, Valentines Day, is not a national holiday, but it is one of those days that must be celebrated. There are “special someones” in your life who expect to receive romantic gifts from their lovers. Commercialism has put a tremendous amount of pressure on men to give their lovers a romantic day with all the trimmings. Women are under pressure to have a man, or they feel desperate and unloved. Valentines Day follows the lives of several couples during this day. Their stories are told through the interconnections they have with each other. Some will find romance in their relationship, and others will feel the heartbreak of ending a relationship. In this Russian roulette world of finding love, everyone in the film is asking for advice on how to find and keep true love. – Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)

Sex and the City: The Movie Review
Reviewed by Owen Gleiberman
SPOILER ALERT! CLICK AWAY NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW ANY PLOT DETAILS FROM THE SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE!
As a Darren Star series on HBO, Sex and the City may have come in tidy half hours, but what those sparkling and fizzy episodes added up to, in spirit, was the great chick flick of our time. The show was that rare thing, a fairy tale you could believe in. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), the lovelorn single-girl newspaper columnist, and her devoted trio of BFFs — randy Samantha (Kim Cattrall), wide-eyed Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and neurotic taskmaster Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) — all took the fruits of feminism for granted: independence, equality, the right to sleep around, etc. (read more…)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine – We’ve Seen It!
Hugh Jackman, one of the world’s most sexiest man, dons the sideburns, the metal and those high-waisted jeans in the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine; we’ve seen it (in a cinema, not a dodgy online version), so read our review after the jump.
Following the success of the original trilogy, there’s a lot of pressure riding on this flick, particularly after numerous reports of expensive re-shoots, on-set fights and an internet leak of an incomplete version.
We went in as fans of the series, but held no expectation that this was going to live up to the hype or the originals. We were pleasantly surprised. (read more…)

BATMAN: The Dark Knight Review
By JUSTIN CHANG
A Warner Bros. release, presented in association with Legendary Pictures, of a Syncopy production. Produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan. Based upon characters appearing in comicbooks published by DC Comics, “Batman” created by Bob Kane.
Bruce Wayne – Christian Bale
Joker – Heath Ledger
Harvey Dent – Aaron Eckhart
Alfred – Michael Caine
Rachel – Maggie Gyllenhaal
Gordon – Gary Oldman
Lucius Fox – Morgan Freeman
Having memorably explored the Caped Crusader’s origins in “Batman Begins,” director Christopher Nolan puts all of Gotham City under a microscope in “The Dark Knight,” the enthralling second installment of his bold, bracing and altogether heroic reinvention of the iconic franchise. An ambitious, full-bodied crime epic of gratifying scope and moral complexity, this is seriously brainy pop entertainment that satisfies every expectation raised by its hit predecessor and then some. That should also hold true at the box office, with Heath Ledger’s justly anticipated turn as the Joker adding to the must-see excitement surrounding the Warner Bros. release. (read more…)
Graphic Design
By definition, graphic design is “the art or profession of visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information to an audience.” Graphic design is an essential part of our everyday. It is all around us: on the billboards that we drive past to get to work, our morning newspapers, television commercials, and on the cover of a lot of our favorite books.
Without graphic design, the way we view our world would be very dull and boring. Graphic design helps to make product advertisements to pop out and be noticed. It gives us the motivation we need to go out and purchase a product we may need or want.

Avatar Movie Review
Movie Review: “Avatar”(Dec 2009); Cast: Sam Worthington, Zo Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver; Director: James Cameron; Rating: **** -”Avatar” is a film that leaves you ‘nishabd’ (speechless).
James Cameron may have placed this story on a moon called Pandora with alien characters (known as Na’vi) that could have belonged to human race if not being double the size, a longer face, sharper features, blue body, white fluorescent marks on the face and tail at the back.
Still, emotions felt are just the same where Na’vis fight for their land, people, pride and right to live. (read more…)
